ARTWORK WITH SPECIAL MEANING

TINY TOWN
Family Map #1

A few years ago I was commissioned to create a very special piece of artwork.  A gentleman had seen some work I had done in a "Tiny Town" type theme and style. He said it reminded him of artwork he had loved as a child.  His mother was terminally ill and he wanted something very meaningful to share with his parents and his family.

He gathered photos of his parents' home and each of his siblings' homes.  He wanted illustrations of each of the homes placed in a "Tiny Town" scene with his parents' home at the top.  Other little details were included like showing his dad  mowing the lawn on his red riding lawnmower and his mom working in her flower beds, his nephews playing catch in the yard, etc...

When the artwork was complete, we had gallery quality prints made so each family member could have one to display in their home.

Following is a video slideshow of close detail shots of the TINY TOWN Family Map:

TINY TOWN
Family Map #2

Last year, a friend of the sister of the gentleman who had hired me to do the first Tiny Town Family Map contacted me about doing one for her family.  She wanted her mother to have a special memory piece of art to take with her to an assisted living home.

These works take months to complete and they end up being rather expensive but they are very meaningful to the families they are created for.

Thank You All!

I want to thank everyone who helped make it possible to go visit my sister and her family.  I had a very nice visit.  It was great to reconnect and I wished I could have stayed a few more days.  But I figure it is just more motivation to continue to pursue my online marketing efforts so I can go for another visit before long.

I did a little creative project with my nephews, Will, Jack, and Charlie.

Here is a link to a slideshow video I made of the experience!
